Hi! Welcome to my blog. I am a major foodie, with a haphazard cooking philosophy, currently making that transition from cooking and baking for friends and family to 'wonder if I could make this my career'. Follow me for recipes, the outcomes of a few experiments, and general lovely foodiness. Opinions, reviews and recommendations are all my own.

2013 - My Year In Cake!

Wow! This year has been somewhat unexpected, and wholly brilliant in cake terms. Not only have I found a passion (and possibly even a talent) that has developed into a business plan, but I have felt the full force of support from my friends and family in a way that has left me both humbled and incredibly grateful.

Having plucked up the courage to make contact with my local council, I now know that it will be possible to set up my fledgling venture from my home, and planning has begun - 2014 will be the year it all kicks off for real! So with true New Year's Eve nostalgia, combined with the promise of much to come, here's my round up of 2013 in pictures...

Phew, that's a lot of cake! I guess that just leaves me to say THANK YOU for all your support and lovely comments over the past year, and here's to 2014! HAPPY NEW YEAR!

  1. Wow - you've certainly had a brilliant cakey year - these are fantastic. Good luck with your new business - although I suspect you won't need it - and best wishes for 2014! :)

    1. Ah Simona good choice! That was for my Grandpa who hates icing, so I had to find a different way to decorate it. Still the fave of most of my family too! Xx
